Will the New All-Electric Fiat 500e Be Sold in the United States?

The electric future of automotive isn’t so far in the future anymore. Brands around the world are producing electric vehicles to provide efficient driving on a whole new level, and Fiat is no different.

Over in Europe, Fiat released its new 500e, a fully electric vehicle with a small footprint that is great for urban driving or simply for those drivers who just need something to get from point A to point B. It’s been hugely successful across the pond, and now, Fiat is preparing to bring it to the United States.

Fiat 500e U.S. Release Date

The 500e was first shown off at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, signifying Fiat’s intent to bring the model to American markets. So, when will it officially arrive? Well, you may have to wait a while. The model’s arrival is slated for the 2024 model year, and while this could mean actual delivery in late 2023, Fiat has confirmed that the vehicle won’t be going on sale until the first quarter of 2024.

That said, it will be well worth the wait. We shouldn’t expect it to be exactly like the European model, but Fiat has told us a few details. The model will have Level 2+ autonomous driving assistance features that include systems for blind spot detection and parking sensors. As for the electric battery, we expect an 85kW battery that can charge up to 30 miles in just five minutes, making it easy to get a little more range in a short bit of time. The full driving range hasn’t been made available yet, but we expect it to exceed 150 miles.
